Tītoki Harvest 2026

Welcome to the very first post from on the Grapevine!

Friends and Whanau having a well deserved feed during a successful harvest day!

The 2026 harvest at Titoki Vineyards will be remembered not just for the fruit brought in—which was close to seven tonnes in total!—but for the wonderful people who helped make it happen.

Over a series of busy weekends, around thirty family members, friends, and Workaway volunteers came together in the vineyard. Each day followed a similar pattern: moving row by row, filling buckets, passing them along, and steadily bringing the fruit in at its best. Some were experienced hands who had joined us before, while others were first-time pickers who quickly found their rhythm in the vines. There were laughs and conversation carried throughout the vines as people worked, adding to the sense of a shared, community effort in the picking. As usual, it was also a noticeably sticky harvest, with the natural sugars from the grapes coating hands, secateurs, and buckets as the day went on. Kids joined in wearing their little gloves, helping their parents put grapes in the buckets. Our kitchen angels provided continuous food throughout the days, which often finished with a shared meal, with time set aside to sit together, talk, and reflect on the work completed. Our 2024 & 2025 Titoki wines were also shared during these moments, adding to the sense of occasion and celebration!

The fruit is now with our winemaker James and has been set aside for our 2026 small batch releases. We look forward to sharing more about the winemaking process and decisions in the months ahead.

Thank you to everyone who contributed this season—family, friends, and new connections alike—for your time, energy, and support.

Here’s to the 2026 harvest!
