The Tree That Started It All

Kia ora from your new favourite vineyard! ✨

As we begin this exciting new chapter in our vineyard’s story, we are so thrilled to finally share the name behind it all and the meaning that inspired it. Tītoki Vineyards takes its name from the native Tītoki trees growing on the land, trees that have been part of this landscape long before we called it home.

When we began building the Tītoki brand, it only felt right to be inspired by something already deeply connected to this place. These trees not only shape the land around us, but also provide food and shelter for the native birds that share it with us.

Our love for New Zealand’s native wildlife has always been incredibly important to us. We proudly support conservation efforts, including Predator Free 2050, because we believe our native birds are part of what makes Aotearoa so uniquely beautiful.

When we looked at the Tītoki trees, we saw more than just trees. Mature and rare to find now, they stood almost like a natural archway across the land, grounded and full of character. There was something undeniably special about them.

They represented longevity, connection, shelter, and the idea that something meaningful can continue to grow long after it first begins.

In many ways, that felt exactly like the future we hope to build here at Tītoki Vineyards.

A name rooted in connection, history, and the beginning of something special.

Welcome to Tītoki Vineyards 🥂
